The Council earlier today played host to a delegation from the Revenue, Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) which came in to interact with the NSDC leadership on steps taken by the Federal Government of Nigeria to diversify and expand the nation’s revenue generation base. The RMAFC was received by the Executive Secretary, National Sugar Development Council, Mr. Zacch Adedeji FCA, who was ably represented by the Director, Finance and Accounts, Alhaji Auwalu Abubakar Shira. Other members of the NSDC Management Team present were, Director, Technical Services, Alhaji Salihu Bkeke; Director, Procurement, Alhaji Ibrahim S. Ibrahim; Director, Executive Secretary’s Office, Alhaji Ahmed M. Waziri; Deputy Director, Policy, Planning, Research and Statistics, Alhaji Babangida Damare; Acting Head, Human Resource Management, Mrs. Okida Kaka-Senchi and Assistant Director, Technical Services, Alhaji Balarabe Ladan. The RMAFC team was led by a Federal Commissioner in the Commission, Chief Anyang Okon. Highpoint of the interactive session was the setting up of a communique drafting committee which comprised of NSDC and RMAFC’s staff. The communique committee members from the Council are; Abdullahi W. Yunusa, Abdullahi Habib, Abdulrahman Abdulraheem, Ezinwa Ogbonna and Sadiqa Abubakar. While those from RMAFC are; Phil Esibor, Kulio Umar and Bukola Adeniyi. The communique was later signed by members and submitted to the leaderships of the Council and RMAFC for further deliberation and implementation.
